A Brief Tour & Overview of Ellerman House

Ellerman House was originally called Florida House and was built in 1906. It has changed owners several times since it was established and has had many transformations.

Sir John Ellerman, a generous philanthropist, is the most significant and although he did not build Ellerman House he was the longest resident and owner besides the Harris Family, who are the current owners.

In 1992 Ellerman House opened and at the time had seven bedrooms, later four bedrooms, two villas, spa, wine gallery and an art gallery have been added to Ellerman House.

It is located in Bantry Bay in Cape Town, South Africa, and has incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean and has a beautiful garden, swimming pool and is situated on the slopes of Lion’s Head.
